Why HTML5 and Why Career Technical Education (CTE) Challenges
What: WebProfessionals.org is pleased to announce the Why HTML5 and the Why CTE Challenge in conjunction with the National Web Design Contest.
Why are we doing this? To educate you, you’re teachers, your community and the world about the features and benefits of HTML5 and Career Technical Education (CTE) and how it applies to you.

When: Starts now and ends no later than 7 pm on Thursday June 23, 2011
What are the specifics?
Why HTML5 (challenge requirements)
• 3-5 mins why web designers and developers should consider learning about HTML5 and be specific
• needs to be branded WebProfessionals.org in footer (youtube annotation ok)
• needs to mention WebProfessionals.org at least three times in audio/video
• needs to outline how Adobe features HTML5 in Dreamweaver CS 5.5
• post to youtube.com and then a link from http://facebook.com/webprofessionals
• “like” /webprofessionals so we know you participated
Why Career Technical Education (CTE) (challenge requirements)
• required 3-5 mins why parents, teachers, education and legislatures should care about CTE (be specific about web design)
• needs to be branded WebProfessionals.org in footer (youtube annotation ok)
• needs to mention WebProfessionals.org at least three times
• post to youtube.com and then a link from http://facebook.com/careertechnicaleducation
• “like” the http://facebook.com/careertechnicaleducation so we know you participated
Winners announced Friday morning by 10 am June 24, 2011 via the facebook.com/webprofessionals and webdesigncontest.org websites. Winners will be required to sign a release authorizing the WebProfessionals.org organization digital rights. Minimum of 3 entries required.
